Project Objectives:
Provide potable water for displaced families and communities affected by the war.
Reduce the spread of diseases resulting from water scarcity or contamination.
Support health stability and safety for IDPs during the return phase.
Target Group:
Displaced families in return areas or camps.
Rural communities affected by the interruption or contamination of water sources.
Project Implementation Steps:
Field Study
Conduct an initial field survey to determine the gathering locations of the displaced persons and the extent of the water need.
Assess the available water sources and their suitability.
Determining the Intervention Model
Distribute water via tankers/trucks on a daily or weekly basis in underserved areas.
Drill new wells or rehabilitate existing ones.
Provide water tanks of various capacities for large and small population gatherings.
Distribute water filters to families to prevent bacterial contamination.
Budget Preparation
Estimate the total cost for the most suitable solutions (purchasing water – tankers – tanks – wells).
Determine the targeted number of beneficiaries and the required daily or monthly volume.
Practical Implementation Steps
Contract with water suppliers or companies to execute drilling and rehabilitation work.
Purchase or rent water transport tankers according to the schedule.
Install water tanks at gathering points (school, mosque, health center).
Train distribution teams to ensure hygiene during distribution operations.
Monitoring and Documentation of the Project
Record all delivery and distribution operations with reports and documented photographs.
Follow up on beneficiary satisfaction through quick surveys or interviews.
